Materials:
-Matte Flat Board
-Photos (printed photos on paper)
-Paintbrush
-Mod Podge
-Watercolor
-X-acto knife
Steps:
1- Print about 20 photos of your choice on US Letter plain printer paper using the laser printer. You can always print more if you need to fill in the space of the matte flat board.
2- Cut out your printed photos to your liking based on geometric shape and texture. For my collage, I used an X-acto knife to cut my images based on their landscape. For example, I used a film photo of mountains and cut the photo along the mountain line to create definition.
3- For the background of the board, consider giving it a texture or paint background. I created a background by splattering watercolor and painting big brush strokes in order to a color background. Wait around 20 minutes for the board to dry to then start the college.
4- Use a paintbrush to put some Mod Podge on the board where you will be pasting your photos, make sure to paint a thin even layer.
5- Next, paint more Mod Podge onto the parts of the printed photo that are still not sticking to secure them and add a glossy finish.
6- Continue with this process of pasting photos until your poster board is fully covered.
7-Wait for the images to dry, and hang up your final project! For an extra layer of design and texture, feel free to add another layer of modge podge for gloss or create a paint splatter on top.
