How can I capture athleticism, grit, and pure strength within sports? If done well, sports photography should freeze that fleeting and decisive moment when competition becomes intense and time becomes ephemeral. I strived to make impressionable photos that are unique and perhaps not seen by others. I adapted to whichever setting I was given to capture the essence of the time I witnessed. I used my intuition to depict the utmost vigorous and or rememberable instant that in itself transcends the physical action they performed.
Throughout my four years of high school, I have discovered my interest and sheer love of sports photography. I have shot hundreds of games and a dozen different sports. I've experimented with a variety of angles, subjects, lenses, and settings on my camera. In photos 6-11, I traveled to South Carolina and spent four days photographing a professional cycling event. I sat in an open trunk of a moving support car and experimented with shutter speed and perspectives. I then shot a variety of Basketball photos through trial and error of what I felt portrayed athleticism best.
