How can I explore light painting to show how feelings can associate with certain colors? For my sustained investigation I wanted to create something fun and explore a specific topic and the different ways it can be used. I love colorful shoots, so to add another layer I used my photos to associate colors with feelings. My first shoot with finger lights is what originally got my attention, and from there I found it to be an endless topic. I learned that it can be difficult to create something as I picture it in my head, so in order to create something I like, I have to experiment with different forms of light.
The most difficult part of my portfolio was creating something the way I pictured it in my head which is why experimenting and revision were essential to my portfolio. One of the most important factors when shooting light painting is to have a dark background, and understand how different forms of light, light wand, led wand, and finger lights, produce different results. In the photos I used the light wand, I was able to revise my work and take it to the next level with the Polaroid collage. I took time to practice and reshoot to make my ninth image better than the seventh and eighth.
